SCENT NOTES: Myrtle Leaf, Rosalina, Green Tea, African Bluegrass, Cypress, Angelica Root
DETAILS: The word mantis translates literally to “diviner,” and this title was given to these long bodied insects with enlarged fore legs because they were believed by the ancient Greeks to possess supernatural powers. Even the more generalized term, “mantid,” translates to “soothsayer.” In addition to its incredibly unique bodily shape and coloration, the creature often adopts a stationary or swaying back-and-forth position, apparently reverent or meditative, hence why we colloquially call them “praying mantis.”
Mantis is a scent that that is equally piquant and tranquil, while remaining entirely green through and through. Mantis captures the verdant leaves, foliage, needles, and grass throughout which the praying mantis makes it home, and which we refer to as nature. Myrtle leaf, rosalina, and african bluegrass forge a braided leafy accord. Cypress and angelica root provide a very subtle woody component, adding depth, and green tea softens and adds balance to the fragrance while maintaining its entirely green structure.
